Employment Opportunities
Per Diem MRI Technologist
AnimalScan, located in Easton, PA, Redwood City, CA, Vienna, VA, and Raleigh, NC, are all currently on the lookout for experienced MRI technologists who can fill-in on a per diem basis.

This a very interesting position. You'll find that scanning animals is remarkably similar to scanning humans.  Leverage your human MRI skills and be trained to use these skills within the very specialized and interesting field of dedicated diagnostic animal MRI.

Our freestanding centers use a state of the art Siemens 1.5 T Magnet. Patients are given general anesthesia by a veterinary anesthesiologist to keep them perfectly still during the exam. Our center only does MRI, there is no CT or X-ray.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment.  Excellent communication skills with staff, referring veterinarians, and owners are required.  Must be comfortable making independent decisions and working with an offsite radiologist.

The technologist works closely with the referring veterinarian to tailor each examination to best serve the imaging needs of each patient. Our patients cannot talk and therefore rely on the clinical expertise of the referring veterinarian and your scanning skills for a diagnostic scan.

MRI experience is required, but no prior knowledge of veterinary imaging or the Siemens equipment is needed.  You will be trained, then scheduled for approximately 20-30 days a year. Hours are 8-5 with no call.

If you are interested in a position at any of the centers please submit your resume via email to sanfran@animalscan.org, call 650-480-2001, or fax to (650) 480-2006.  Please specify the location at which you are interest in working and your information will be forwarded accordingly.
