Magnetic Resonance Imagery, or MRI, is a harmless, pain-free procedure that creates detailed internal images of your pet’s body and brain. The process allows doctors to quickly and accurately diagnose conditions without invasive surgery or radiation. It can be used to diagnose problems in the brain, spine, joints, abdomen, and other areas.
AnimalScan features the latest available MRI technology, providing your pet with fast, comfortable service and your veterinarian with accurate results. All our veterinary radiologists are board certified, with additional training in MRI technology and evaluation.
To obtain the best possible images, your pet must remain completely still throughout the scanning process. Because pets do not naturally hold still for extended periods of time, any pet undergoing an MRI requires anesthesia. AnimalScan uses advanced monitoring equipment to ensure your pet’s safety throughout the scanning process and during recovery.
